Rooted in Flavor — Joyberry Farms Brings Fresh Mushrooms to Market
May 15, 2026
May is blossoming right before our eyes, and the Market is one of the best places to watch the season unfold. Each week, more early spring harvests arrive at our vendors’ tables as guests return to enjoy fresh local foods, shop alongside their furry companions, and once again take in the sounds of live music at the Market.
This week, our Market spotlight shines on a vendor that has become a year-round staple in our community — Joyberry Farms.
Owners Brad Ikenberry and Amy Joyce founded Joyberry Farms with a vision of bringing locally grown mushrooms to their market communities. From their beautiful farm in Mason, New Hampshire, they grow a variety of fresh, organic, no-spray mushrooms year-round, offering both familiar favorites and unique specialty varieties.
Joyberry’s mushrooms are packed with vegan protein, vitamins B and D, selenium, potassium, fiber, and antioxidants, making them as nutritious as they are delicious.
While Joyberry offers mushrooms throughout the year, spring is an especially busy season on the farm as they prepare for warmer-weather crops. Their yellow and pink oyster mushrooms are especially popular this time of year, known for their delicate texture and mild, savory flavor. Whether sautéed, roasted, or grilled, they’re a favorite addition to summer meals.
Beyond fresh mushrooms, Joyberry has developed an ever-growing line of creative products that have become a hit with our Market community. Guests can find dried seasoning blends, their popular mushroom powder — perfect for pasta, rice, marinades, salad dressings, or infused oils for bread dipping — along with ready-made soup mixes, herbal teas, and even beauty products.
And coffee lovers, they have something for you too. Joyberry’s mushroom coffee blends make it easy to enjoy the benefits of mushrooms alongside your favorite morning cup.
For Brad and Amy, it’s about more than mushrooms — it’s about connection. Each week they welcome guests with cooking tips, fresh seasonal inspiration, and new products to explore, bringing the kind of warmth and enthusiasm that has made Joyberry Farms such a cherished part of our community.
Stop by their booth this week to explore their products and perhaps pick up a bag of fresh mushrooms for soups, stews, casseroles, or your favorite spring and summer recipes.
With so many delicious ways to enjoy mushrooms, we’re pretty sure you’ll find yourself visiting the Joyberry Farms table all summer long.
